Defence Technical undergraduate scheme
The Defence Technical Undergraduate Scheme is our premier under-graduate sponsorship programme for those students who want a head-start into a DESG career.

We offer sponsorship through DTUS to a limited number of students commencing or part way through an approved science or engineering degree at Aston, Birmingham, Loughborough, Newcastle, Northumbria or Southampton universities (arrangements also exist for Oxford & Cambridge). By providing a support unit at each of these universities, DTUS is designed to develop your leadership and team working skills and to give you a deeper appreciation of the Armed Forces and the military environment.
The Scheme offers work placements in your summer holidays, excellent opportunities to participate in military and adventurous training and a generous academic bursary.
