Salary And Pensions
The salary for Graduate's entering the Scheme (from August 2009) is £23,427 rising to £27,578 on successful completion of the Graduate Scheme. These figures are subject to annual review in August each year. Find out more
Working Hours
Staff may choose between working standard hours or flexible working hours. The flexi system allows staff to vary the time they start or leave work. Unless employed on a part-time basis, staff are expected to work a five-day week of forty-two hours, which includes meal breaks.
Sports And Social
The Civil Service Sports Club gives you access to many excellent facilities and events and there is an annual sport day where you can meet people from different departments. A programme of sporting events throughout the year includes golf, rugby, badminton, darts, athletics, angling, chess and many more.Find out more
Holidays
There are 25 days annual holiday, rising to 30 days after 5 years service, plus 10 days of privilege and public holidays a year.
Families
We offer a first-rate maternity/paternity package and workplace nurseries. After maternity leave there may also be opportunities to work part-time.
